Events and hospitality company, Chavez Braga Productions, owned by the Chavez Braga family, manages Chavez Braga Weddings & Events, Sylvia Chavez Braga (fashion brand), the La Jolla Boutique Residence, the Forbes Parklane Boutique Residence, and online store

 

Like all Chavez Braga events and residences, all of the businesses that compose the Chavez Braga collection is crafted and designed with tremendous care and attention to detail. The family has dedicated their professional lives to developing a deep understanding of high quality hospitality, event management, design, and service. 

 

Currently, La Jolla Boutique Residence (located in La Jolla, California) and Forbes Parklane Boutique Residence (located in Bonifacio Global City, Manila, Philippines) compose the family’s collection of boutique residences available for short-term lease for vacation and business executive or corporate travel. 

The family plans to expand the collection to more destinations in 2022.

SYLVIA C. BRAGA, Owner & Certified Event Planner

Sylvia C. Braga is founder, owner and CEO of Chavez Braga Productions, a full service event planning, design, production, and international hospitality company. Sylvia is a certified event planner with a Certificate in Event Management from the esteemed George Washington University and University of San Diego. With a widely published book with readers all over the world and a popular product line, Sylvia has creatively expanded her brand well-beyond her successful event planning business. Sylvia is also the owner, creative director, and designer of her eponymous fashion and lifestyle brand, Sylvia Chavez Braga, a line of modern, chic and sophisticated women's wear.



With a diverse professional background in event planning and management, psychology, education, theater production, and fashion, Sylvia's events, productions and work are executed with impeccable artistry, creativity and technique. 

 

Her educational background in Psychology from the University of Maryland provides her with a unique and keen understanding of the needs of her clients and others. Her pure joy and affinity for helping others sets her superior quality of service above all the rest.​

Sylvia began her career in event planning and production more than thirty years ago by planning events internationally for major organizations. Sylvia's notable strength lies in her unrivaled attention to details, grace under pressure, and creative problem solving skills, which are skills she practiced and consistently implemented as a international disaster and crisis relief counselor for the Armed Forces American Red Cross.

 

Prior to serving as an educator in California, Sylvia served as an international teacher of multicultural education in Aomori, Japan. Sylvia also holds a California Teaching Credential in Early Childhood Education and is a children's book author, with her first book published in Spring 2010 and available nationwide and internationally. Sylvia's first book was inspired by her work as child development specialist at Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego, CA. She is currently working on her second book. 

In addition to event production and fashion design, Sylvia's passion for ministry, community service, education, and the creative and performing arts, lead her to her recent roles as Director of Contemporary Music Ministry at Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church in La Jolla. In her over thirty year span of professional experience, she has served as highly sought after Marriage and Family Life Advisor and Personal and Professional Development Coach with a specialty in military personnel, couples, and families. 



Based in La Jolla, CA, Temecula, CA and Manila, Philippines. The company provides professional event planning, designing and productions services for any type and size of social, corporate, community event, celebration, charity galas and weddings throughout Southern California, the US and internationally.

As a military family, Sylvia's childhood years were spent in Maryland and across the East Coast where she was raised, including South Carolina. Her two adult daughters were raised in Japan where her husband was stationed with the U.S. military and where she served as a multicultural teacher and served with the Armed Forces American Red Cross. Sylvia and her family split their time between their homes in California and the Philippines. In Sylvia's spare time, she enjoys painting, writing poetry, and discovering new destinations.
